The Facilities Manager is responsible for the upkeep, safety, and efficiency of the buildings and equipment utilized by the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh, a Catholic women's religious community. This is a full time nonexempt position. Annual salary range is $45,000 - $60,000. Must be able to read technical manuals and drawings, possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, and basic computer skills. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events.. PA drivers license and good driving record required. Must be comfortable working in a religious environment and committed to the mission and upholding the values of the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh. Ensure monastery facilities and grounds are presentable and safe for Sisters, staff, and visitors. Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on monastery buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical). Managing cleaning and janitorial services. Identifies and corrects potential safety hazards to avoid injuries Oversees the monitoring and regular maintenance of HVAC, fire alarm, and security systems Performs seasonal maintenance (snow removal, salting walkways, lawn care, leaf cleanup, etc.) and maintaining grounds Assists with setup and teardown for liturgical celebrations, community events, meetings, and programs. Arranges tables, chairs, and AV equipment as needed. Reports regularly to the Prioress regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as directed and oversees work Participates in the development of the annual maintenance budget Physical Requirements: Periods of standing, bending, climbing, and walking. Lifting and moving objects of up to 50 pounds. Ability to travel throughout the monastery offices and properties.
