Hydraulic Bench Mechanic

Pay: $22-27/hr.

Description:

• The Hydraulic Bench Mechanic repairs, tests and troubleshoots hydraulic equipment, machines and components. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Reports to the Production Manager.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• 1-3 years of experience repairing/troubleshooting hydraulic/industrial machinery
• Specialty training/certification in hydraulic equipment repair in addition to field experience is preferred
• The worker must have a complete set of tools and the mechanical skills to use them properly and safely
• General knowledge of pipe fittings, hose fittings, and their application and use
• Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline driven environment
• Strong communication skills. Must be capable of using written and verbal communications to effectively convey plans and specific details to internal and external customers

Responsibilities:

• All activities associated with the tear down and repair of hydraulic equipment, machines and components
• Assemble and test new assemblies and/or repaired products
• Welding as required
• Pick up and deliver machines/products from customers and/or suppliers
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, co-workers, vendors and sub-contractors, in an occasionally stressful environment.
• Work overtime as required to complete projects/assignments
• Assist on field projects as needed which may require travel
• Complete all training classes as assigned
• Perform other essential and related duties as assigned
