Job Summary

As a Data Center Associate, you'll be responsible for managing and operating our cutting-edge data centers, which enable everything from cloud services to streaming applications. This entry-level role is ideal for technology enthusiasts who enjoy doing hands-on work in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities

- Monitor data center equipment, including as servers, cooling systems, and power supplies, to ensure peak performance and availability.

- Carry out basic maintenance activities such as hardware installation, cable management, and equipment upgrades.

- Troubleshoot and fix simple hardware, network, and environmental issues, delegating more sophisticated problems to senior techs.

- Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, and security compliance.

- Conduct frequent inspections and audits to ensure a secure, clean, and efficient data center.

- Work with IT teams to support data backups, migrations, and disaster recovery operations.

- Adhere to safety requirements and emergency procedures to protect persons and equipment.

- Record activities, incidents, and resolutions in our tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting.

Skills

- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think quickly under pressure.

- Attention to detail and organizational skills are required for task management in a dynamic workplace.

- A fundamental understanding of data center operations, including power, cooling, and security best practices.

- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and operate in a climate-controlled but occasionally noisy environment.

- Bonus: Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are preferred, but not essential; we will train you!

Education & Experience

- High school graduation or GED necessary; an associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related subject is recommended.

- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, hardware maintenance, or a related technical function (entry-level candidates with relevant internships or certificates should apply).

- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation & benefits: The yearly base compensation for this position ranges between $47,000 and $56,000.
