InfraHire is looking for a Sr. tax Accountant in Florham Park, NJ.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in preparing and reviewing both business and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns (federal and state).
- Conduct detailed reviews of tax work papers and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and make recommendations for process and policy improvements.
- Assist with tax planning strategies for clients and business entities.
- Research and interpret tax regulations and rulings to support accurate filings.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding tax issues, documentation, and deadlines.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to tax provisions and accruals.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting -public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong background in reviewing both business and personal tax returns .
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
