Supply Chain Planner (Operations Planning Analyst)

(Los Angeles)

Status : Full-time, exempt.

Reports to : Director of Operations.

Compensation : $70k-$75k.

The Position:

The Supply Chain Planner owns the planning systems that ensure rocky’s matcha has the right materials, at the right time, in the right quantities. This role focuses on forecasting, procurement planning, co-packing production planning, and cost visibility, working closely with the Operations Lead who executes day-to-day production, warehousing, and logistics.

This is a highly analytical, cross-functional role ideal for someone who loves spreadsheets, forecasting, and building scalable planning processes behind the scenes to keep physical product flowing on time and within spec.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain & Production Planning:

• Own demand planning and sales forecasting inputs in collaboration with leadership.
• Translate forecasts into raw material, packaging, and accessory requirements.
• Build and maintain production forecasts across internal and co-packed SKUs.
• Plan and schedule co-packing production runs in coordination with the Operations team.
• Flag capacity constraints, lead-time risks, or supply gaps early.
• Coordinate with co-packers, suppliers, and warehouse team on timing and execution.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination:

• Manage procurement for raw materials, packaging, and accessories.
• Coordinate with suppliers and co-packers on timing, readiness, and specifications.

Inventory & Systems:

• Maintain inventory planning and accurate inventory records across all locations and 3PLs in coordination with Operations Lead.
• Improve inventory and production tracking tools, spreadsheets and software.
• Support ERP implementation and ongoing process improvements.
• Maintain traceability records, batch logs, and production reports.

Cost Accounting and Reporting:

• Track and analyze COGS, production costs, and material usage.
• Support pricing, margin analysis, and financial planning with accurate data.
• Provide operational insights to leadership to support growth and scaling decisions.

Compliance:

• Support compliance efforts (FDA, food safety, QA/QC, OSHA) through GMP-aligned documentation workflows and data tracking.
• Support FDA compliance execution & Quality Control programs.

Requirements:

• Must have food & beverage industry experience.
• Must be located in greater Los Angeles region.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or production planning.
• Strong spreadsheet and data skills (Excel, Google Sheets, ERP experience a plus.).
• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Clear communicator who can coordinate between warehouse, co-packers, and leadership.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-growing, evolving environment.
• Bonus: Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or co-packed production environments.
