With 16 hospitals and a wide range of services, we are committed to delivering exceptional health care built on trust, dignity, and clinical excellence. **Role Overview** As a **Supervisor, Radiation Therapy - Proton** , you will co-lead the radiation therapy team delivering both proton and conventional treatments including photon, electron, and brachytherapy using various delivery systems. You will supervise therapy staff and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care. You will assist in developing standards related to CT simulation, treatment delivery, scheduling, downtime management, and radiation safety in partnership with physics and physician teams. Due to operational constraints with a single proton treatment room, flexibility in work shifts is essential. Your leadership and expertise will be critical to maintaining precision in patient positioning and treatment delivery, especially given the highly targeted nature of proton therapy. **Key Responsibilities** + **Administrative Duties:** Oversee daily operations of proton Radiation Therapists, manage staff development, implement policies, maintain quality control, and ensure proper documentation and supply management. + **Treatment Delivery:** Administer precise, highly conformal Proton Therapy treatments under physician supervision while monitoring patient safety and adapting to anatomical changes. + **Imaging and Planning:** Perform advanced imaging, patient simulation, and fabrication of custom devices while assisting in treatment planning for multiple modalities, including brachytherapy. + **Patient Care and Education:** Position patients for treatment, ensure comfort and safety, and provide education and support throughout the Proton Therapy process. + **Safety and Compliance:** Consistently apply radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. + **Scheduling and Coordination:** Optimize scheduling and workflow efficiency while maintaining compassionate communication with patients regarding treatment and any changes. **Qualifications** **Education** + **Preferred:** Bachelor's Degree **Licensure/Certification** + **Required:** State of Florida Radiation Therapy License + **Required:** Certification as a Radiation Therapist (RTT) from an accredited program + **Required:** ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) registration and certification + **Required:** BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification **Experience** + Minimum 4 years of Radiation Oncology experience + Minimum 1-2 years' experience in Proton Therapy **Additional Requirements** + Strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of radiation therapy techniques across all modalities, especially proton therapy + Exceptional attention to detail in patient positioning and treatment accuracy **What We Offer** **BayCare offers a competitive total rewards package including:** + Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) + Paid Time Off + Tuition Assistance + 401(k) Match and additional yearly contribution + Annual performance appraisals and team award bonuses + Family resources and wellness opportunities + Community perks and discounts **Take the Next Step** Lead a cutting-edge radiation therapy team and make a meaningful impact on patient care through advanced proton therapy.
