Job Description

Salary: $76,794 - 138,237 per year Requirements:

  • I possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • I have 10+ years of network engineering experience in routing/switching.
  • I have 5+ years of network security experience (Firewalls, security tools, threat mitigation, etc.).
  • I have 5+ years of Enterprise Wireless experience.
  • I hold certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Security, or CCNP Collaboration.
  • I have extensive knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management tools such as Solarwinds NPM and Cisco Prime Network Manager.
  • I have experience designing and supporting large-scale Enterprise WAN infrastructures using Cisco hardware, particularly in the healthcare services industry.
  • I have experience in designing, implementing, and supporting networks and the various protocols associated with IP-based telephony.
  • I have experience implementing and supporting Quality of Service in Enterprise networks for delivering critical applications.
  • I have advanced experience in configuring all types of Cisco hardware, Cisco IOS, and NX-OS.
  • I possess knowledge of additional network products from various manufacturers (Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, etc.).
  • I have extensive experience with EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.
  • I have experience with various technologies used to deliver highly redundant networks across all layers of the OSI Model.
  • I have knowledge and experience designing and managing WAN environments with extensive experience in WAN protocols such as MPLS Networks, dark fiber, point-to-multipoint networks, and IPsec VPN.
  • I have experience with network security platforms and technologies such as ASA, Firepower, Cisco AMP, and Cisco Umbrella.
  • I have experience with the daily administration of applications supporting DHCP/DNS such as InfoBlox, network load balancing with F5 or Citrix Netscalers technologies.
  • I have experience leading a technical team on large projects that span several months.
  • I am skilled at documenting designs and policies associated with networks.
  • I maintain proper documentation of systems configurations.
  • I can provide on-call technical support after hours and on weekends as needed.
  • I can provide end-user support via the enterprise ticketing system.
  • I am familiar with network providers (Verizon, CenturyLink, etc.) for troubleshooting, order management, and new technologies.
  • I possess the skills to work with industry-standard cabling.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Senior Network Engineer, I am responsible for architecting, deploying, configuring, and maintaining high-end switching, routing, IP Telephony, wireless, security, network management, and access control devices supporting the Mercy Health Services infrastructure. I will coordinate activities amongst multiple groups to ensure 99.999% uptime for the organization.
