Job Description
Amergis is hiring a Public Health Nurse to work a contract position in Fairfax, VA. The PHN will be responsible for conducting children's assesments in the community.
The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) is responsible forthe mental and physical well-being of the community by ensuring the public'shealth through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, andeducation. The Public/Community HealthNurse (PHN) can work in a variety of institutions such as the community,hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities while collaborating with stateregulators, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to keep the communitysafe and healthy.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Active Nursing Licensure in the state practicing
+ Two (2) years of public health or community experiencepreferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
