Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect with strong experience in QlikView to lead end-to-end BI solution design, implementation, and optimization. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in data modelling, dashboard architecture, and stakeholder requirement gathering , along with strong leadership in driving enterprise analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Architecture & Development

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade Power BI solutions including data models, DAX calculations, dashboards, and reports.
• Build scalable semantic data models using best practices in performance tuning and data relationships.
• Establish Power BI architecture standards, governance, deployment pipelines, and workspace management.

Migration & QlikView Expertise

• Lead BI modernization initiatives including migration from QlikView to Power BI .
• Analyze QlikView dashboards, scripts, and models to rebuild equivalent or improved solutions in Power BI.
• Provide expert guidance on optimizing the transition strategy and reducing technical debt.

Requirement Gathering & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and document analytics requirements .
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and data models.
• Conduct workshops, requirement discussions, and design review sessions with senior leadership.

Data Engineering & Integration

• Work with data engineering teams on data pipelines, ETL processes, Azure services, SQL, and source integrations .
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reporting layers.

Leadership & Best Practices

• Define BI development standards, reusable templates, naming conventions, and governance practices.
• Mentor junior developers and guide cross-functional teams on BI processes.
• Support architecture roadmaps for enterprise analytics platforms.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
  
• Minimum 5+ years in Power BI , with expert-level DAX, data modelling, and dashboard design.
  
• Strong experience in QlikView development (scripting, UI, data modelling) .
  
• Proven success in requirement gathering , stakeholder interaction, and solution architecture.
  
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  
• Experience with Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway, and deployment pipelines .
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  
• Experience working in enterprise environments with complex data ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, ADF, or similar cloud data tools .
  
• Exposure to Power Automate and integration with Power Platform.
  
• Prior experience in consulting or client-facing roles .
  
• Certifications like Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Azure Data Engineer .
