Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Strongsville, Ohio. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing payroll processes for a large, multi-state workforce while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy and efficiency in payroll operations. Responsibilities: - Process full-cycle payroll for multi-state employees using ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws and company policies. - Review and enter garnishment, child support, and lien documentation received from agencies and courts. - Audit payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, benefits, and tax filings, to guarantee accuracy. - Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address discrepancies and maintain data integrity. - Prepare detailed payroll reports, journal entries, and reconciliations to support accounting and audits. - Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll and tax-related matters. - Stay informed about updates in payroll legislation and recommend process improvements. - Lead system testing, upgrades, and implementation of new payroll features to optimize functionality. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment. - Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and proficiency in payroll system integrations. - Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and reporting standards. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. - Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
