Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to oversee and optimize payroll operations for our organization in Strongsville, Ohio. This position is vital in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while contributing to system improvements and supporting strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, multi-state payroll management, and a commitment to excellence in payroll administration. Responsibilities: - Handle end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple states using advanced payroll systems. - Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies. - Conduct audits and maintain accurate payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, benefits, and tax filings. - Process and enter garnishments, child support, and liens based on agency and court directives. - Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to verify data accuracy and address discrepancies. - Manage payroll system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features to enhance functionality. - Generate payroll reports, journal entries, and reconciliations for accounting and audit purposes. - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and tax-related matters with professionalism and efficiency. - Participate in initiatives aimed at improving payroll processes and staying updated on legislative changes. - Monitor payroll systems to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in payroll operations within a multi-state, high-volume environment. - Proficiency in payroll systems such as UKG Pro, UKG Ready, and Bullhorn. - Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and reporting standards. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas. - Experience with payroll accounting and integration with general ledger systems. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address payroll-related challenges. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
