n Logic is seeking a Futures Strategic Space Lead to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
You will join the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering team to help define the next generation of space communication systems supporting Air Force Military Satellite Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USAF. You may lead and support working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolving and identifying risks and requirements gaps, developing briefings, writing and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Responsibilities: - Manage strategic space future development for Space Systems Command (SSC) Military SATCOM portfolio
- Develop and maintain next generation technology and communications systems development and design baseline
- Manage technical baseline through procurement and Authority to Proceed (ATP)
- Integrate industry solutions into Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) system baseline
- Design and sponsor demonstrators and prototypes to validate design assumptions
- Develop standards, frameworks, and models to describe and procure next generation NC3 systems
- Work with industry, stakeholders, users, and operators to define requirements and capabilities
- Direct a small team of engineers to assess, develop, validate and document technical baseline
Required Qualifications: - Active Secret clearance required
- Manage strategic space future development for Space Systems Command (SSC) Military SATCOM portfolio

- Integrate industry solutions into Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) system baseline
- Design and sponsor demonstrators and prototypes to validate design assumptions
- Develop standards, frameworks, and models to describe and procure next generation NC3 systems
- Work with industry, stakeholders, users, and operators to define requirements and capabilities
- Direct a small team of engineers to assess, develop, validate and document technical baseline
Preferred Qualifications: - Masters of Science (MS) degree in technical area, such as engineering, math, physics, or computer science
- Certifications, such as PMP, INCOSE CSEP, ESEP
- Chief Engineer experience
- Experience with space systems and/or military or commercial satellite systems
- Experience overseeing development contracts to develop, design, assess simulation and prototype hardware and software
- Experience leading, managing, or supervising small teams
- Familiarity with NC3 organization and next generation concepts

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Current SECRET security clearance is required for consideration. This is a full-time position on-site in El Segundo, CA. The estimated salary for this position ranges from approximately $180,000 to $235,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
