Loader Operator -  Class B CDL preferred . 

Staten Island, NY- Brooklyn, NY - Bayonne, NJ - Elizabeth, NJ - Perth Amboy, NJ

Hourly / Full-Time

About the Role:

The Loader Operator plays a critical role in the efficient handling and movement of materials within our facilities located in Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Bayonne. This position is responsible for operating heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport goods safely and accurately, ensuring smooth workflow and timely processing. The Loader Operator must maintain a high standard of safety and equipment care, minimizing downtime and preventing accidents. Collaboration with warehouse and logistics teams is essential to coordinate material flow and meet operational targets. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall productivity and safety of our supply chain operations.

JOB SUMMARY: 

Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include, but is not limited to; front-end loaders, skid steers, track-hoes, and bulldozers. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Always operate equipment in a safe manner 
• Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination. 
• Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public. 
• Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment. 
• Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup. 
• Maintain operation records. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

• Communication skills – verbal and written. 
• Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely. 
• Ability to perform basic math. 
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude 
• Ability to follow directions.

• Dump truck and/or yard jockey experience a plus, not required 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) 
• Valid Drivers’ License 
• Class B CDL preferred . 
• Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operator work experience preferred. 
• Clean MVR

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing 
• The employee is subject to confined spaces. 
• The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather. 
• The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions. 
• The employee is subject to hazards: Including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to bio-solids. 
• This position requires overtime.
