Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, along with the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and various health conditions. Responsibilities * Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. * Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or moving them as needed. * Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team. * Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. * Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. * Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. * Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of client information. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Qualifications * Previous experience in patient care or long-term care settings is preferred. * Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. * Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering CPR if needed. * Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients. * Must be able to lift clients safely and assist them in daily activities while maintaining their dignity. * A commitment to maintaining a clean environment for client safety and comfort is essential. * Certification as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
