POS Help Desk Support Technician Department: Information Technology
Minimum Schedule: 7:30 am - 4:30 am Monday-Friday, On call may be required
Job Status: Full-Time Hourly
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Help Desk Support Manager
Position Summary A System Support Technician will be responsible for answering the telephone and addressing issues relating to the Point-of-Sale System.
Duties And Responsibilities - Answering and troubleshooting calls received from retail stores.
- Working knowledge of store procedures and equipment.
- Traveling to stores to install equipment and train employees.
- Perform on-site repairs, upgrades, and other preventive maintenance.
- On call rotation for afterhours emergencies.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements And Qualifications - Grocery and convenience store knowledge preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Prior Help Desk and or customer service experience a plus.
- Other job-related tasks as needed.
Education - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Relevant postsecondary education preferred
