Front Desk Patient Coordinator Location Boerne, TX :

Established in 2005, Promotion Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient practice. We have serviced the San Antonio and surrounding communities for over 19 years.

We are seeking a full-time driven and talented Front Desk/ Patient Coordinator for one of our Medical Center clinic.

Candidate must have excellent work ethic, the ability to speak to patients on the phone and in person, make patients feel welcome as this person will be instrumental in the positive patient experience.

Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of medical office experience that includes patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, cash-handling, and answering phones in a professional manner.

What You Will Do

  • Greets all patients and visitors promptly and professionally
  • Ensure accuracy of appointment scheduling
  • Registration of all new patients to include obtaining all necessary referrals, prescriptions and verification of insurance coverage on an as needed basis
  • Collects appropriate monies prior to be treated and issues receipts for all monies taken
  • Balance daily cash summary, prepare weekly bank deposit and take deposit to the bank.
  • Creates new patient accounts in the EMR system
  • Scan all documents into EMR
  • Call patients to confirm, follow-up, or reschedule appointments as necessary
  • Notify treating therapist when patient is ready to be treated
  • Assists patients with any non-clinical questions regarding their treatment
  • Answers incoming phone calls and take appropriate messages
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1-year Healthcare/ Medical office experience required
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented

Physical Demands:

Requires using hands, sitting, standing, walking and some lifting up to 20 pounds. Must be able to see a computer monitor and hear well to answer telephone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
