We are partnering with a highly regarded New York City restaurant seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef with a strong background in modern Italian cuisine . This is a leadership opportunity for a hands-on culinary professional who is passionate about ingredient-driven cooking, thoughtful execution, and building strong kitchen teams.
The OpportunityThis role offers the chance to lead a well-established kitchen while contributing creatively to menu development, seasonal updates, and the overall culinary direction of the restaurant. The ideal candidate brings a refined yet contemporary approach to Italian cuisine, paired with operational discipline and a collaborative leadership style.
What You’ll DoLead and inspire the BOH team with a focus on consistency, culture, and excellence
Oversee daily kitchen operations, staffing, scheduling, and service execution
Develop and evolve menus rooted in modern Italian techniques and seasonal ingredients
Maintain strong cost controls across food, labor, and inventory
Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met
Collaborate closely with ownership and leadership to drive quality and growth
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Chef in NYC
Strong foundation in modern Italian cuisine
Hands-on leadership style with a passion for mentoring teams
Deep understanding of seasonal sourcing and local purveyors
Calm, organized, and solutions-oriented approach to service
$120,000–$140,000 base salary
