Department Summary

Our DISH Media Ad Sales team, headquartered in New York City with additional offices in Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles, empowers brands to reach their target audiences seamlessly across the DISH and Sling platforms. Specializing in data-driven addressable and programmatic advertising solutions, this innovative and passionate team excels in navigating the dynamic TV advertising landscape.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Intelligence Analyst II at DISH Media will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, designing, developing, and managing business intelligence solutions and dashboards to optimize performance on advertising platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate data-driven stories effectively to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and manage business intelligence and analytics solutions, including dashboards, automations, and AI-enabled insights

  • Write and optimize SQL queries across diverse data sources and structures to perform analysis and generate actionable insights

  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling stories tailored to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise

  • Build and manage analytics processes and tools that optimize performance across advertising platforms and data pipelines

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, including data processing, storage, testing, and system integration

  • Collaborate cross-functionally while mentoring junior analysts and maintaining clear, up-to-date technical documentation

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a BI or Data related role

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL query development and data analysis

  • Experience with BI and analytics technologies such as AWS, Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, and Oracle BI

  • Solid background in data warehousing, data mining, and ETL processes

  • Working knowledge of at least one data science language (e.g., Python, R, or SAS) and familiarity with project management tools like Jira

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and independent working skills with a bias for initiative and innovation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with advertising, publisher, or MVPD industry experience a plus

The salary range for NY candidates is $83,250-118,910

For CO candidates, the range is $72,400-103,500

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $72,623.00/Year - $103,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
