POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for administrative and clerical functions of the BSA, including responsibilities for tasks involving Bank Secrecy Act compliance. Larger banks with diverse customer bases and higher risk operations are expected to devote considerably more resources and managerial attention to their BSA program. The BSA Department is considered a critical department of the Bank and duties in this department are considered “high priority”. The organization's staff plays a critical role in the success of the institution's program. This employee offers the customer the highest degree of service and promotes all Alliance Bank's products and services.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalency.
2. Ability to read, write and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.
3. Four (4) years' experience in banking or job-related field and two (2) years of training and/or education in field or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
4. A minimum of 3 years at Alliance Bank is preferred.
5. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to deal with and respond to employees' requests with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks within a prescribed time period and adapt to frequent or unexpected changes in work responsibilities or processes.
7. Highly detailed-oriented with the ability to organize, schedule, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities as well as certain departmental functions to improve efficiency.
8. Ability to write proper business correspondence, develop spreadsheets, and create slide presentations and certificates.
9. Ability to operate basic office equipment including a PC with job-related software.
10. Ability to handle bank and customer transactions with a high level of confidentiality.
11. Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
12. Knowledge of Alliance Bank's policies and procedures.
13. Knowledge of Alliance Bank's products and services.
14. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time. This may include the need for evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage.
15. Office setting with moderately varied desk-oriented activity.
16. Repetitive movement of finger, wrist, and hand.
17. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

5. BSA Regulatory Compliance Related Duties:
Assist BSA Analyst Lead with certain Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) functions, including but not limited to:
a. Respond to money laundering and fraud alerts generated monthly by the Bank's software program, by investigating customer activity, interviewing employees, and determining a course of action.
b. Investigate suspicious customer activity that is reported to the BSA Department and help prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports.
c. Ensure bi-weekly, the FinCEN 314(a) list is received from FinCEN and is run against Bank's customer records as required by BSA Regulations.
d. Perform Optimization of Verafin Software annually.
e. Daily review CTRs for accuracy serving as the second reviewer and release them to FinCEN.
f. Assist in reviewing CTR exemptions annually.
g. Assist in reviewing high risk customers semi-annually for High-Risk Review.
6. Assist in CIP documentation review as needed.
7. Maintain BSA Department SharePoint Pages.
8. Assist in running and creating Cognos Reports for the department.
9. Supports frontline bank employees with BSA and OFAC subject matters and software access.
10. Answer questions from bank employees about BSA matters.
11. Attend periodic training seminars and webinars relating to BSA.
12. Keep updated on all Alliance Bank policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to this position.
13. Attendance and punctuality a must.
