Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is seeking a Bartender with a passion for hospitality and crafting exceptional drinks. Join us for this incredible opportunity to work in a dynamic and fun environment where you can make a difference daily!
Bartenders are responsible for providing our guests with libations and offering customized recommendations. The right candidate will have experience working in high volume bars and have a friendly and welcoming disposition. They should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity and allows for building on one's style and previous bartending experiences. Individuals in this role will require flexibility to support all areas of the Food and Beverage division including the Tradition: An American Kitchen, HeyDey Social Club, in room dining, and banquets.

Our Food and Beverage Concepts HeyDey Social Club is centered on sunny golden hour hangs where guests can spend all evening at this cheerful bar meets European Social Club. With stellar cocktails and friendly service, HeyDey operates as a cocktail café and is the go-to place for downtown happy hour drinks. Enjoy excellent coffee for a late afternoon pick-me-up, Italian Aperitif style drinks, innovative seasonal takes on classic craft cocktails, natural wine, and local beers. This uniquely hip cocktail and snack bar offers casual and light service with an attitude that doesn't take itself too seriously. The Tradition: An American Kitchen is dedicated to creating a welcoming and dependable neighborhood restaurant where every guest feels at home. Qualifications - Minimum 2+ years previous bartending experience is required
- Hotel experience is a plus
- TABC/Food Handlers Certification
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be a team player
- Refined verbal communication skills
- Must have physical stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight, up to 50 lbs
- Must possess a thoroughunderstanding of state and local serving guidelines
