Summary of Position:

Early birds with flexible schedules are especially encouraged to apply. Starting pay is $16.94 per hour plus tips. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Craft exceptional coffee experiences: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and related products with precision and care.
• Connect with guests: Build rapport with customers, provide personalized recommendations, and ensure a memorable experience.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment: Excel in a fast-paced setting while also demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness during slower periods.
• Champion cleanliness and safety: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all aspects of your work.
• Foster an inclusive and positive team environment: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a culture of excellence where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Requirements

• Experience: 1+ year of experience in a specialty (third-wave) coffee shop strongly preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills:
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent active listening, memorization, and recall abilities.
• Knowledge of specialty brewing equipment operation preferred.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Roasting knowledge,experience, or interest is also a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with some weekend availability preferred, and the ability to start early in the morning.
