Job Description

A global professional services firm seeks a Global Accounts Payable Specialist II to join their dynamic team. This role is an integral part of the firm’s Accounts Payable team and will be responsible for performing professional and complex accounting and accounts payable duties which require familiarity with accounting practices and procedures, and knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications, while managing one or more electronic (EDI) vendor loads or payment files, preparing associated reports, and working with practice offices on data corrections related to client matter and general ledger coding. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities:

• Processing all aspects of vendor maintenance, including conflicts checks, the coordination of vendor onboarding, and setting up vendors in the accounting system
• Researching invoices and vendor statements to ensure against incorrect payments
• Responding to practice office accounting requests and providing progress updates
• Reviewing accounts payable invoice batches entered into the firm accounting system by US practice offices for accuracy and adherence to established firm policies and procedures
• Executing data entry for the Global Services Office (GSO) and non-US practice offices

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent; a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in Accounting or a related field, preferably
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with electronic (EDI) vendor processing, preferably
